The rules for using the Accentlo platform: your account, subscription and payments, the right of withdrawal, complaints and liability.
These Terms set out the rules for using the Accentlo website, available at accentlo.com, a service for learning English pronunciation.
The owner and provider of the Service is Łukasz Zawiśliński, residing at Łukowo 50, 06-425 Karniewo, Poland, hereinafter referred to as the "Provider".
The Provider can be contacted at support@accentlo.com.
Within the Service, the Provider makes available tools for learning English pronunciation, including exercises on sounds, accent, intonation and vocabulary, as well as a voice recording and automatic pronunciation scoring feature.
The Service offers a free Free plan and a paid Standard plan. The Free plan lets the User get to know how the Platform works and check the available features before deciding to buy. The Standard plan provides access to the features specified in the current Pricing.
To use the Service you need a device with internet access, an up-to-date web browser and — for pronunciation exercises — a working microphone and the browser's permission to access it.
The Service offers a free Free plan and a paid Standard plan.
The price of the Standard plan is €8.99 per month or €89.99 per year, according to the option selected by the User at the time of purchase.
The Free plan is available free of charge and serves in particular to get to know how the Platform works and to check its features before deciding to purchase the Standard plan.
The Standard plan is a paid, renewing Subscription. The User selects a monthly or annual billing period before making payment.
Cancellation can be carried out at any time using the features provided in the Service or with the payment processor. To avoid a charge for the next period, cancellation must take place before the next renewal date.
A User who is a consumer, or another person granted consumer rights by law, generally has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, under the rules set out in the Consumer Rights Act.
If, before the withdrawal period expires, the User expressly requests that provision of the service begin before that period ends, and the law requires additional confirmation of the legal effects of such a request, Accentlo will obtain the appropriate statement during the purchase process.
For digital services provided in a manner and on terms that, under applicable law, result in the loss of the right of withdrawal once provision has begun, the User will be informed of this before purchase and will be asked for the confirmation required by law.
Cancelling Subscription renewal is not the same as withdrawing from the contract. Cancellation means there is no renewal for the next period, whereas the question of a refund for a period already paid for is governed by these Terms and applicable law.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the User may send an unequivocal statement to support@accentlo.com.
The User undertakes to use the Service in accordance with the law and these Terms, in particular to:
Complaints regarding the operation of the Service can be submitted to support@accentlo.com. A complaint should include a description of the problem and contact details.
The Provider examines complaints without undue delay, within the time limit resulting from applicable law, and informs the User of how they have been resolved.
The Provider makes every effort to keep the Service working correctly and continuously, but does not guarantee full availability at all times (technical breaks are possible).
The pronunciation score generated by the Service is a guide and a learning aid. It is the result of automatic analysis and may contain inaccuracies — it does not constitute a professional teacher's assessment or a guarantee of achieving specific learning results.
The Provider may change the Terms for important reasons (e.g. changes in the law or the scope of services). Users will be informed of changes with appropriate notice. The current version of the Terms is always available on this page.
In matters not covered by these Terms, Polish law applies, in particular the Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act.
The parties will endeavour to resolve any disputes amicably, and if no agreement is reached, the competent court will be determined in accordance with applicable law.
